Neil Grinnall Homes has appointed a new Commercial Director to help achieve their commitment to inject over £320 million worth of investment into Worcestershire within the next three years.
Mark Ison joins from Wilson Connolly’s Midlands branch and brings more than 17 years of experience with him, having developed his career working with a number of major housebuilders throughout the Midlands region, including Alfred McAlpine and Lovell.
36 year old Mr Ison will oversee the procurement of all elements required in the construction process for each of the Worcestershire based residential developer’s new projects. With Neil Grinnall Homes’ expansion plans well on track and new acquisitions due to be announced later this year, this appointment further boosts the team and will ensure all schemes remain on track and within budget, whilst maintaining high quality standards.
Commenting on his appointment, Mark Ison said: “Neil Grinnall Homes implements one of the highest build and internal specifications in the regional new homes marketplace, however, it is imperative that we continue to meet our customers’ rising expectations. I will be introducing new systems for the procurement of building products whilst assessing standards to ensure we can accommodate continuous improvements in quality. I am delighted to come on board and am keen to play an instrumental role in assisting Neil Grinnall Homes to achieve its goals.”
Mark Ison’s first project is the imminent Albion Mill conversion, which received planning approval from Worcester City Council last month for 78 one and two bedroom apartments within the fabric of Worcester Royal Porcelain’s 19th Century Mill. The building lies directly on the Diglis canal basin just beyond the core of the cathedral city. The new apartments and penthouses will boast spectacular views of the city, the Malvern Hills and the changing waterside scenery.
Neil Grinnall, Chairman said: “We are on target to start construction on over 300 new homes during the next 18 months, so it is crucial to make sure our schedule and costs are effectively arranged so that in turn, we can deliver our new homes to their owners on time and to the high quality specification we set ourselves.
“Mark brings invaluable experience of working with some of the UK’s most well recognised housebuilders and I am delighted that with his skills and knowledge of the industry he has chosen to join a regional developer such as ourselves. As we continue to expand it is crucial that we boost our in-house team with high profile appointments such as this to maintain our position in the region as the leading new homes developer.”
